United Way of Washington County funds programs that provide health and human services to Washington County residents. Eligible programs must be able to demonstrate positive, measurable outcomes. Programs seeking United Way funding must work towards the advancement of identified Community Goals and Focus Areas under three Impact Pillars: Financial Stability, Education and Health.

Education Pillar Application Process is Now Open
The application process for funding under the United Way of Washington County’s Education Pillar is now open. United Way is looking for programs that help youth achieve academic goals and demonstrate the life skills necessary to become positive, contributing members of society.
Program indicators of success include:
- School readiness
- Early grade reading
- Middle school success and reading
- High school graduation
